1.3 Miscellaneous APA Style Rules

Theses rules are more appropriate for students completing papers for class rather than for formal publication. Remember to check with your instructor for any special instructions or refer to the APA manual for additional information.

• Use page margins of at least 1 inch
• Use a standard recognized font such as Times Roman or Verdana with a size of 10 or 12
• Include a separate title page and reference page
• Any appendixes should be added after the reference page
• Be sure to number and title your pages in case your paper falls apart
• Headings should be used to organize your paper
